These were done in the 50's and 60's to promote socialist monuments commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito
The Photographers involved in photographing th
em chose to get up close and shoot at an upward angle, making the monuments "larger then life"
I like that aspect of the photograph and will try and recreate it in a pinhole format.
Because my pin hole camera is a wide angle (shallow box depth) and the paper inside is curved, the image will be really fish eye'ed and I'm hoping will create a dramatic effect to the monuments.
Also the image below by Scott Speck, is a pin hole photograph that I would LOVE to recreate and make. If i had time i would like to photograph architecture but I feel I can not drive to a location and take one image, then drive back to develop, only to find out I have to drive back for a second shot.
